In respond to some PB speculations ...
here it is PB 1002 working as stable as usual under Windows 8 Developer Preview 32 bit

In the picture:

  • PB IDE
  • a compiled (under Windows 8) application using Power Collection
  • PB COM Browser
  • PB COM library (Microsoft ActiveX Data Objects 6.1 Library) exploded

I've had pretty good luck with both VB6 and VC6 under both 32 bit and 64 bit Win 7 Peter.  There seems to be some very minor glitches, but nothing I'd call 'unstable'.  Fact is, the amount of difficulties I had between Win XP and Win 7 were of the exact same nature as the difficulties I had between Win 2000 and Win XP.  Actually, I'm quite impressed with what Microsoft accomplished backwards compatibility wise.

Thanks for posting that Eros.  I guess its not the end of the world yet!  I guess we can put off the day a little yet when we all have to program in html if we want to program at all!
