Title: Thousands Place Seperator And Decimal Points
Post by: Frederick J. Harris on March 10, 2016, 03:05:37 PM
How do you seperate thousands places in large numbers in France and elsewhere in Europe Patrice?  In the US we use commas ',' to seperate thousands places, an '.' to seperate decimals, that is....

123,456,789.25

I seem to recall in Europe that's reversed?

Yes, it's reversed:

123.456.789,25

although French and others sometimes use an space:

123 456 789,25

Thanks Jose!  OK.  Good!  That's what I thought.

Does PowerBASIC have - what I think is called 'locale' support?  In other words, when you do this in your PowerBASIC version installed in Europe....

Local pi As Double
pi=3.14159
Con.Print pi

Do you get this...

3,14159

or this...

3.14159

??
