Title: Background Boxer skin
Post by: Herman Kieskamp on March 22, 2013, 01:27:39 PM
Hi,

I started off with Boxer and its blue-ish background. After I once clicked the eye, the background changed, so I noticed
you can step forth and back in the differente backgrounds. Very nice, BUT I can't get the original blue-ish one back.

So my question is, why is the blue-ish one not in the rotation, and where do you save that information?

Thnx,

Herman.

Herman

It comes from the \background folder, where you can store any background you want to use with any Skin.

When selecting a new backround it replaces the CTLBACK.jpg within the active skin folder.

I have attached to this post the original Boxer background.

Added:
You can even use transparent png backgrounds, like the attached Dwm002.png one.

This is possible because, WinLIFT, like GDImage, is working in composited mode (drawing directly onto the DirectDraw surface)

forget to say, if you don't want the end user to be able to change the image background, just remove or rename the "\background" folder and that would do it.

I guess I could also just leave only the intended image in folder, so the program can't change?
