Title: Wuala - a distributed file system
Post by: Charles Pegge on December 05, 2007, 09:44:23 PM
This is about a distributed storage system that makes use of its members computers and spare Internet bandwidth. It provides secure storage by distributing encrypted file fragments with a redundancy factor of about five. This is shown to provide a very reliable and robust system.

Users can store private data, or share it within groups or make it publicly available.

The speaker goes into the very intricate system required for coordinating the network.

I wonder if this is how human memory works?
