Hi Gary,

The Meadows Museum of Dallas is going to exhibit more than one hundred works, including paintings, oil sketches, and drawings, of the Valencian Joaquín Sorolla (I'm using one of his autoportraits as my avatar). From December 13, 2013 to April 19, 2014. Don't miss it.

So you do not really look like that, Jose  :D

Marc Giao

Yes,

I agree with José wonderful artist, I had the pleasure of seeing some of his work at the Museo del Prado when I was in Spain from 1973 to 1974, if at all possible go and enjoy his work. Unfortunately, it's a bit far for me  :(

Jose!
Thanks for the letting me know of the event!  My wife and I will be going!

When I go, can I ask one of the attendants to direct me to the picture of Jose Roca?  ;D

I could have been one of these children on the beach if I had been born about 50 years earlier. Nobody like him has managed to capture the marvelous light of the Mediterranean Sea.

I love reflections and this is my favourite. (Still going strong at 80)
